Greetings! For this Monday’s post I have pulled out an old favorite from the catacombs that is my closet! I do not see many of these comfy cardigans, so it has bonus points for being rare on my charts!
“Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver-white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things”
–Sound of Music, “My Favorite Things” by Richard Rodgers
I thought I would give my readers an opportunity to learn a bit more about me by giving them a list of things I love. I might do a list of things I despise one day, but not today. Some of these are avid obsessions, and others are appreciations and expressions of gratefulness. Maybe we have some things in common! Read on to find out, hope you enjoy!
Hello all of my beautiful viewers! Here is another style I am trying out for you all. This one is so fun! I feel like the piece has a certain style of dress that goes with it, and figuring that out made this little gem all the more fun!
While on my adventures with the cousins, (see “New Adventures Await” for more details) I had the fantastic opportunity to lead offertory worship at their church on Sunday! It was not a big deal, only one song, but still exciting enough to make a small fuss over with practice and nervous butterflies and such. 🙂 Now this church has two services. The first is a bit more dressy in attire and the second is very chill. The night before we – my two relatives/fellow musicians and I – had picked out clothes together that would not clash or be identically dressed on stage. Only to wake up the next morning and realize that I, the singer, was dressed too casually for the formal service! Today I thought I would try a little something new for the Monday’s modesty and style post. While brainstorming I searched through my previous ideas and scrolled through social media looking for something to spark a new idea. Then a metaphorical rock hit me in the back of the head. Just because you cannot find inspiration does not mean it cannot be made for others! I realized that other girls are having the same problems that I am… some days I just cannot get any inspiration for a unique and modest outfit! Thus, I have found a problem and intend to resolve if not assist in curing it in this post!
I was thinking, what is a better than an evening shopping trip? Almost nothing! I absolutely love to go shopping, so I leaped at the opportunity to go with two of my favorite people – my parents – to the University Park Mall! This mall contains 143 stores including the Apple Store, Starbucks, American Eagle Outfitters, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Bath and Body Works, Chick-fil-a and more! (There is also an Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Stand. YUM!) The U.P. Mall is in Miskawaka, Indiana which is a bit of a drive from where I live. Thus, I do not get to go there as often as I like. However! This was a special trip just so that I could use a $45 gift card at one of my favorite stores in the world, Francesca’s! Yippee! Continue reading “Francesca’s Shopping Trip!”
Hello, all of my wonderful friends! Some of you may have noticed that I did not post yesterday, the day that I normally choose to post on the subject of style and modesty. That is because I was saving it for today! It is July fourth, Independence Day! I thought I would do a post on my Independence Day outfit for you all, as I sport the red, white and blue!
