O’Fallon, Illinois

FBC O’Fallon was our most recent event on the Silver Team, and it was fantastic! The congregation is so friendly and the staff was welcoming. I made good memories and great friends this past week!

The church facility itself is huge. It had three separate floors and hosts two schools at one time. It was a blast to explore, I assure you!

There was a kind young cosmetologist and her husband that wanted to give to our team in a creative way, so they offered our entire team haircuts! They were so kind and did a really good job! Let me tell you, Jesus met needs through that couple!

Also, the production staff let us – the band – use their lights and fog machines. It was so cool! It left a stellar haze on the stage and I think it hyped us up a bit too. 😉 We loved it!

While there, I had one of my best friends visiting for a few days. We spent lots of time laughing and getting no sleep. It was fun for me to have an old friend to experience life with for a short time.

We found one of my favorite church hideouts of my entire traveling lifetime. *squeal* Secret Roof Access!

While there we also made a gargantuan scavenger hunt for my siblings throughout the building, which we sent them on at nine o’clock at night – in a very dark and empty church! It took them around two and a half hours and ultimately my parents had to come help because we upped the complexity level as we proceeded through the hunt. It was so much fun! We were cackling the entire time and randomly jumping out of hidden places to give them hints.

One last thing we did was a bit childish, but so worth it! We played on the church’s indoor playground and slide. It was silly, ridiculous and memorable. 🙂

(Bad quality picture, but high quality moment and person <3)

I would say that FBC O’Fallon was a church to remember! Do you have any fun memories from people it places you’ve visited? I would love to hear about it! You are loved!
